I treated myself to some new books by Neil Gaiman. I love his writing and have done so since I first read Sandman. His style stands out and captures me straight away. When I read Good Omens by both Gaiman and Terry Pratchett I could recognise his humour in it. I am not a big fan of Pratchett but the collaboration between the two of them made this a book that I have read many times.
The books I bought were Odd and the Frost Giants, The Sleeper and the Spindle and Hansel and Gretel. I’ve just finished reading Odd and the Frost Giants and I loved it. The hero was typical Gaiman in his modest, understated, calm character. The artwork by Chris Riddell is beautiful. I can’t recommend this book highly enough. As you can see in the picture my little Tomasina enjoyed it too! 🙂
