I have bitten the bullet and gone and gotten my index fingers tattooed! I can’t believe I’ve done it. Seriously, when you can’t hide the tattoos anymore I feel I’ve crossed the line. It’s cool though. I’ve had both positive and negative feedback, as usual. But I love them!
It’s my birthday and I am not working. So we are off out for a drink and a meal. I cannot wait.

I don’t drink much, in fact I could count on one hand the amount of times I drink.
I’ve come down with the flu bug. Initially I thought it was a man-flu/cold type thing but I woke up with a temperature of 40.1 which wasn’t great. No matter how much paracetamol I was taking the temperature kept coming back up and the rigors set in again. So I took myself off to the Urgent Care Centre. The nurse there was amazing. Really friendly and caring. Actually they were all lovely. But there wasn’t really much they could do. I was offered some antibiotics but as they said it was likely to be viral. So anyway, two weeks of feeling rough and I am finally feeling a little more human. But it’s been a slow recovery. You know what bugs me? I have had the flu vaccine every year. Why bother?
Crikey I am in my 6th month of my dreadlock journey! Still loving my dreads. 🙂 Have to find another person to carry out my maintenance work though as the last two have moved. Is it me?
Such a fun shift today with a crazy bunch of nurses and doctors. I work most Christmas day shifts as I quite like them and we usually have nice food put on for us. 🙂

I was having a look through some old photos on my google account and found this one of me with the other students I studied nursing with on our last day of training. It was taken almost 11 years ago. I can’t believe how fast time has passed! Unfortunately I have no idea what has happened to any of the other students. Which is a real shame but life has a habit of getting in the way doesn’t it? 🙂
Awww it’s getting busier and busier at A&E. Seriously I have never worked in such a hectic and busy environment in my life than here. I am leaving work after each shift and I am sore and tired. But, and this is the difference between other places I have worked, I am finishing my shifts happy. I love my job and pretty much most of the people I work with. It’s sad to see so many people leave due to the pressures we are under or because their training contract is finished. But all in all I love it. Even when we get the occasional not so nice patient we pull together and it’s not too bad. 👊👍
