I have started my Couch to 5k plan. It’s been two weeks now and I am loving it. The app I’m using is by Active.com and is brilliant. The trainer voice I’m using is the zombie one and it’s really funny. But aside from that the plan is really easy to follow. Some days are a bit of a slog but I’m really enjoying it. I think the environment I’m running in is also a bonus. It’s very pretty and quiet. I love being alone on my run.

I didn’t invest in a proper pair of trainers until the second week just in case I didn’t enjoy it. But I found that I was finishing each run and my toes were either numb or had pins & needles sensation. So obviously that wasn’t ideal. I went along to Up & Running local shop and the lady I spoke with there was brilliant and gave me advise on the best shoes to wear. Thanks to my flat feet I have over pronation so I am now the proud owner of a pair of Brooks runners.
